Of course, a hairdo....what was I thinking?

Today Kylee dressed herself, and when I asked what was on her head, she looked at me and said "a hairdo" as if I were stupid. She's not two yet, and has a way of making you feel stupid.

Don't worry, I didn't allow her out of the house like this, never, no way!

cute clothes from great grandma

My grandma has decided to start sewing again. Her favorite subject seems to be Kylee, which works for us. We get all these cute clothes for next to nothing (just the price of material). The first set is supposed to be for the fall. The pants are a bit big, so my grandma made the next size down and we will put the ones that are too big up for next year.
The second is a cute cute little sundress that I can just put a long sleeve onesie underneath for the winter. Kylee is also trying out her new trick in the second picture (jumping). The total costs of these two outfits was only $3.00 all together. I'm lovin' it!

notice also in the first picture she has her new black dress shoes for church on. She loves shoes, and since we were trying on her new clothes she needed to have her new shoes. We got the clothes off of her but did not manage to get her shoes off, so for the rest of the evening she ran around in a diaper and black patent leather shoes on, cute eh?

Not much going on

I have not had much going one lately and haven't been in a blogging mood. I'm not sure blogging is for me. I thought since I love to write that blogging would come naturally to me. I was wrong. I want to blog. I just cant seem to do it.

Kylee seems to be feeling better from her seizure and virus. I had a small temporary job last week, and really enjoyed being back in the work force, even if only for 4 days. It makes me miss working a little bit. I dont like the idea of Kylee at a babysitters/daycare all day everyday (although that works for some people and I am not judging by any means)(its just not for us) but I do miss working a little bit and would love to find something to bring in a little extra money. It is hard because if I found something part time it would have to pay enough to be worth the daycare costs. Any ideas out there?

I'm really going to try harder on this blog thing. I think it is a great way to keep a journal/scrapbook for Kylee (since I am so not into the scrapbooking thing). Anyway have any suggestions on making blogging easier? I sure dont have a problem reading a ton of blogs daily, just cant seem to post on my own blog.

Pear Bread

A couple weeks ago someone gave me a bag full of pears. We ate some but I didn't want all these pears to go to waste so I found a recipe for some yummy pear bread. It was really easy and tasted great and best of all, this free food didn't go to waste!

You can find the recipe here. Next time I will double the recipe so it will fill my pan. Also I added a typical cream cheese glaze over the top. It didn't last long looking this pretty.
